THE SHEPHERD OF THE COAST LIBRARY
Our SOTC library has recently been relocated and now is located in it own room down the hall from the Chapel. A check of the shelves will reveal that books have been organized by shelf location and content – to ease in book searches. We invite you to check out the location and shelf organization where you will find:
- books that include Luther’s writings;
- Lutheran Biblical theology;
- other Christian authored theology;
- books of historical accounts;
- Biblical fiction and secular fiction;
- books offering helps for Christian living;
- DVD’s – both Christian and secular;
- holiday books and DVD’s.
Each book has a pocket inside the back cover with a library card bearing author and title for recording that you have borrowed said book.
To borrow a book:
- Remove the library card from book pocket
- Record your name and the date borrowed
- Place the card in the File Box on Shelf #1
When you return the book, simply drop the book in the basket indicated for “Returning Books”. Re-shelving of books will be done by volunteers.
If you wish to donate books to the library, please drop the books off in the Church Office, where library volunteers will prepare the books, and appropriately shelve them and update the catalog. We ask that you please do not put donated books on the shelves; books need to be cataloged and appropriately placed on the shelves.
